2011 Annual Mortality Report

The 2011 analysis found that mortality increases with age regardless of living arrangement or long term care service choice. Findings also show mortality differs based on service setting and individual long term care program. For instance, mortality rates in nursing homes are higher than in waiver programs among every age group.

OAAS Consumer Surveys

The purpose of this report is to present the findings from an in-home survey of participants in the OAAS Home and Community Based Services Programs. These programs provide services to support the elderly and adults with disabilities in the community.

Louisiana Alzheimer’s Disease Task Force Report

SCR 80 of the 2008 Regular Session created the Louisiana Alzheimer’s Disease Task Force to study and make recommendations to the legislature concerning the current and future impact of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias on Louisiana citizens.
