Maternal & Child Health
Louisiana's Section of Maternal and Child Health (MCH) is housed within the Office of Public Health's Center for Preventive Health Services, and is the State agency responsible for administering the Federal Title V Maternal and Child Health Block Grant. Policy development and programmatic direction are provided by Central Office staff with input from regional health and social service leaders and consumers; direct services are provided by Parish Health Unit staff and contract agencies.
